Have You Ever Lost Your Phone in Deep Sea Diving?

As a kid, you probably dreamed about going deep sea diving and looking for treasure. All of us did at some point. What would you dream about finding down there? A pirate treasure – Gold from the lost city of Atlantis – Or maybe the latest iPhone?

Wait, what? The last time we checked, iPhones weren’t even invented back then – but what do you know it we live in a modern, Jetsons-like reality where people find smartphones all the time while diving. Just check out the video below of famous YouTube diver Jake Koehler finding a brand new iPhone underwater.

Where did the iPhone come from?

Jake is known for finding various underwater treasures for quite some time now. This isn’t even the first time he found a smartphone in one of his underwater adventures, because; as it turns out smartphones and water go together like peanut butter and jelly.

And people lose their phones a lot more often than you think. Scientists, who apparently don’t have anything smarter to do, apparently estimate that around 20,000 people lose their phones every single day, according to our nifty little calculator, that amounts to 7.3 million lost phones every year.

But that still doesn’t answer our question – why so many phones end up in water? Maybe every time a breakup happens the guy/girl goes to the nearest body of water and throws their Android smartphone full of unanswered messages into it. That’s the best explanation we could find.

What to do If Your Phones Ends up in Water?

If this scenario happens to you or if you simply go for swimming / fishing and your phone accidentally falls into the water, what should you do? How can you find your phone? Should you wait for Jake or another YouTuber to put on their scuba gear and dive for your phone?

Worry not dear reader – there are some gizmos that can help you with this problem. Although, scientists are still working on a way to help you get your girlfriend back. When they get to a major breakthrough, we’ll remember to notify you immediately. But for now, back to the matter at hand…

Is There Any Gadget That Can Help You Fish Out Your Phone?

The smartest thing to do is to get an endurable phone that can handle your breakup better than you. If you want to look for new and endurable models, we recommend you visit YASYAS, and find a budget mobile phone for 2018 that will serve you well, no matter in what body of water it ends up in.

But if you already have a phone, there are still things you can do to protect it. Even a cheap smartphone can become completely foolproof with some investment. You can buy a waterproof casing if you want to be safe. These cost around 50 dollars and will last you for at least a couple of years.

On the other hand, if you don’t want to be fancy meaning you don’t want to spend more than 10 dollars you can also get a waterproof bag. These bags won’t last as nearly as long waterproof cases, but it is what it is. You can’t really expect top-shelf quality for a lousy ten bucks.

What you will do, if Your Phone Ends Up on YouTube?

Let’s say you don’t listen to us and you manage to lose your phone during the summer vacation. Well, you can always subscribe to some deep diving YouTube channels and pray that your phone ends up one of them. Or you can move on with your life and get a new phone. You know, like a normal person.

Or you can listen to Simon Cowell and stop using a smartphone altogether. Seemingly, it made him feel happier. But you’re probably not crazy enough to listen to Simon Cowell talk about happiness. Yeah, go back to subscribing to those YouTube channels and looking for your phone. It’s ok – we’ll wait.
